About F1 Content Hub
F1 Content Hub is an independently run destination for Formula 1 information: the race calendar, session results, championship standings, driver and team profiles, and a curated news feed, all in one place. It is maintained on an ongoing basis rather than being a one-off export of data — content is refreshed on a schedule for as long as the season runs, and the site is built and kept up by a single maintainer as a personal project, not generated or dumped in bulk.
Where the content comes from
Every fact shown on this site traces back to one of a small number of sanctioned sources, never to guesswork:
- Jolpica/Ergast — the maintained successor to the long-running Ergast API — supplies the race calendar, race and qualifying classifications, sprint results, championship standings, and drivers’ and teams’ career statistics. This is the official, canonical record for anything a race weekend produces.
- OpenF1 fills gaps that Jolpica/Ergast does not cover: precise session start times, a post-race timeline built from official race-control messages (flags, safety cars, and similar events), and, on race day itself, a same-day provisional session classification for the hours before the official Jolpica results are published. Anything sourced this way is labelled provisional/unofficial until the official classification arrives and takes over.
- RSS feeds from F1 news outlets supply the news section. Each item is a headline, a short excerpt, and a link back to the original article on the publisher’s own site — full article text is never copied or re-hosted here.
How often it updates
This is not a live or real-time feed. Content is refreshed on a schedule: fast-moving content — news headlines and championship standings — is checked roughly every 15 minutes, while everything else (the calendar, race and qualifying results, career stats, and driver/team rosters) is refreshed roughly once an hour. A page always renders whatever was captured at the last refresh, so there can be a short lag between something happening and it appearing here.
No-fabrication commitment
The site only shows data it can trace to one of the sources above. It never invents statistics, results, standings, or commentary to fill a gap — when a source has no data for something (a practice session’s results, for example, which the sanctioned sources do not publish), the site simply omits that section rather than guessing. The same discipline applies to the short descriptive text on listing and profile pages: it is written from fields the page already displays, never from figures that aren’t sourced.
